Joining is free; no paid pass is required. MARALYS installs one shared MARALYS modpack for every MARALYS sector. You need a computer with Minecraft Java; Bedrock and mobile clients are not supported.

Create adds mechanical presses, mixers, belts, shafts and gears. Machines need a source of rotational power. Speed, rotation direction and kinetic network stress affect output and reliability.

Create Aeronautics supports physical structures built from blocks. Mass, component placement, propulsion and cargo affect movement. Build aircraft, airships, land vehicles and mobile bases on Astra.
Prepare a hangar, testing area and landing site. Check controls without cargo, then repeat with a load. For a flying base, plan team access, storage and structure protection separately.

Heavy components and cargo change the craft's behaviour. Repeat tests after modifying the layout.

Test propulsion, steering and stopping with cargo. Leave an open area for take-off and landing.

Create trains handle regular resource deliveries. Stations connect bases, factories and warehouses. Schedules control train movements, while loading and unloading connect the railway to production lines.
Start with two stations and one train, then add passing loops. Agree on shared tracks with neighbours; platforms need room for the whole train.

The server uses FTB Chunks for land and AeroClaims for physical structures. Check team permissions separately.
Land
In FTB Chunks, select chunks containing your warehouse, production and base. Check boundaries, available limits and team permissions. Land claims restrict outsiders' actions inside selected areas.
Physical structures
Place an AeroClaims block on the structure. Refresh its information, check size and activate protection in the menu. Check again after rebuilding. Land claims do not replace protection for a moving craft.
Check current limits and protection status in the game. Rules apply on your own land too: engineering mechanics do not permit bypassing limits or exploiting bugs.

What is Astra?
Astra is a shared Minecraft Java survival server with Create and Aeronautics. Working machinery, automation, physical structures and vehicles built from blocks form the core of its gameplay.
Do I need a paid server pass?
No. Joining and playing are free. Store purchases are optional and are not an entry fee.
Can I join without experience in Create?
Yes. Start with a small workshop and one machine, check recipes in the installed pack and expand when you need more. The knowledge base covers server features, build protection and communication.
Do I need to assemble a modpack myself?
Install Astra's published pack through the MARALYS app, which downloads the required files and updates. A mix of Create and Aeronautics versions from unrelated tutorials may not match the server pack.
Can I use Bedrock or a phone?
Astra requires a computer and its modded Minecraft Java pack. Minecraft Bedrock and mobile editions are not supported.
How do I protect my base and vehicles?
Read the claims section in Astra's knowledge base. Land protection and physical structure protection are configured separately; check team access before building together.
How does Astra differ from ordinary survival?
Survival is connected to engineering. Create supports production, while Aeronautics turns block-built structures into physical vehicles. Gathered resources support your machines, factories and infrastructure, and projects can grow with other players.
Can I focus on building?
Yes. Build homes and public spaces, design workshops, hangars and stations or help your team with architecture. You do not need to learn every mechanism at once. Start with a small base and discover the mods through a specific task.
Why test a craft without cargo first?
The first test helps you understand controls and behaviour. Cargo changes mass and its distribution, so testing needs to be repeated. Prepare an open area near the base and wait until turning and stopping are predictable before attempting a long delivery.
Where can I find current recipes and server information?
Check recipes in the installed Astra pack and server features in the knowledge base and rules. A video may cover a different Create version or physics system. Use MARALYS updates to keep your client aligned with the published server pack.
